Today is just a short note! Yesterday, I went to Gloucester to a bead shop that is going out of business; she has everything 50% off! I bought lots of beads and some Christmas charms. Bev and I had a nice lunch at Ginny's Buffet; then came back to Bev's to bead a bit. I only had a short time, so I made two bracelets.
They turned out rather nice! One is a dark purple pearl, with lilac glass end caps, rondelles, finished off with a gold teapot and teaspoon toggle.
The other is an earth tone with gold floral bead caps. I just used a plan gold toggle and again, used the rondelles in between the stones.
Until next time!
This is where you will find me posting my latest stitching photos, reporting on what I am reading and photos of my family.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!
We have had a horrendous last few days with Hurricane Sandy upon us; we live in Newport News, VA in the Hampton Roads Area. We fared very well considering we did not lose our power at all, which is very unusual.
Also happening in our lives, my DH had surgery on October 15th to remove a large malignant mass which was identified as a Gastrointestonal Stromal Tumor. Thank the Lord they got it all; it was not affecting any other organs except the stomach; they had to remove a small portion as it was attached. He will be doing chemo, BUT he is fortunate enough to be able to take the chemo pill, which works very well with this type of tumor. All in all, we are blessed and are looking forward to a good prognosis.
NOW, on to my stitching! I have been working on several projects. I am involved in a SAL, a RR, and doing some things for 'me'..............lol...............I also participated in two different exchanges. In addition, I managed to make four pair of Halloween earrings!
These are the earrings; two different pair of ghosts and one pair of bats! lol............now to make some for Christmas.
This is the scissor fob that I received from Pam on my group Every Stitch Counts. Below is the one I made for her!
This is the fall exchange I did for my stitching friend Franny in another one of my groups. I hope she likes it!
This is the RR square that I just finished for my dear friend Kathy in ESC. Now, on to Debi's. I will post that one when finished.
This is a lovely exchange that I received from my stitching friend Donna, of CSF..............she did a great job! I love it all.
I do have some works in progress that I will get together later and post. I am working diligently on everything! Of course, my things get put on the back burner when I have stitching obligations.
One more thing! I bought this corner cabinet from my neighbor's yard sale for $25! Butch is putting in new shelves so I can 'hide' away my stitching things I normally keep all over my stitching area in the living room!
I hope everyone liked my little bit of an update! It seems it takes me a month or so to get back to my blog! I hope everyone else in Sandy's path is okay; was quite a storm! Let's hope and pray we don't have another like it!!!
Until later, happy stitching!

Short Note!
Hello everyone; it has been a while again since posting. I have been working, so my computing has had to take a 'back seat'...lol
I just finished one RR yesterday that I did for my friend Katie, who chose a Halloween theme:
I will be adding another finish very soon; I am doing an owl piece by Jardin Prive' so stay tuned!
Also, my friend Sarah of Crafty Moo is having a birthday giveaway, so hop on over to her blog! http://craftymoo-sarah.blogspot.com/
Be back soon,
Hugs,
Sue

Wow, this is my second update in one day...lol.....I am cleaning my craft room and am purging all my stash. Everything I have collected is brand new; with the exception of charts I have used, and most of them have been passed along to other stitchers. I came across the Coca-Cola Girl Series, I, II and III. I am posting a photo and if anyone is interested in them, I will sell them for six dollars ($6.00) a piece; or three for eighteen dollars ($18.00) Email me at noahstitcher5@gmail.com if you are interested. I will only take money orders. I have a Paypal account but it is not linked to my bank.
I have been MIA for a while again; I know I should update sooner than I do, but I like to have some things to post. I am a slow stitcher and am working on several things. Today, I will show you a RR I am working on and an SAL freebie from SunshineStitches.
This is the freebie Christmas in July SAL on Sunshine Stitches blog. There are twenty small squares about one inch by one inch! A very quick and cute stitch!
This is my friend Mary's RR; I did the two turtle doves. It is a Prairie Schooler 12 Days of Christmas which is now OOP.
This is my friend Lynda's RR she chose; I did the motiff that is to the far left; there are ten of us participating and I will try to post each one as they are completed~
On another subject; Butch and I went to our friends Tim and Karen's home in Gaffney SC for a few days R&R; due to a personal issue in the family (with our oldest DD, who moved home) we just needed some time away, and we missed our chance to visit last year because of the hurricane that was on top of us here in Newport News, VA. We had a wonderful time; Karen worked on her designing; we stitched, and she took me to Spartanburg that Saturday for a day of shopping! We hit B&N and met another stitcher friend, Teresa, who was visiting her mom and family; then we hit Hobby Lobby, Joanns and Walmart! LOL.....had a great time.
Butch and Tim did fishing on the lake, tried to fly Butch's remote control floater plane; and golfed while were were there........here are a couple of photos!
You will see a view of the lake across the street from their property; Breezy, one of their darling pups; two of Karen's gorgeous Rose of Sharon being pollenated; and the infamous Gaffney peach...LOL......with the (hemrroid) as it is called! LOL
Next time, I will have more photos and my latest 'reads'.......so stay tuned.

Not Able to Stitch for a Couple of Weeks
Since having hand surgery yesterday, I will be unable to stitch for a week or two; I can manage to keyboard, thankfully! LOL I was looking at some of my older webshots and decided to share a couple of previous finished projects! Hope you enjoy until I can catch up with my new finishes and works in progress!
This is Tulip Time by Diane Grabner. I love Amish charts. Another Amish chart is the quilt square.
The Crab is in............a Waxing Moon Design.
Hope you enjoyed viewing some older projects!
Hugs,
Sue

Sunday, my quiet time!
This is my other darling little Chihuahua, Peanut; she is NOT so little, though......fourteen pounds!
Here are my works in progress I have been promising. The first is Joy by Stitchworks; it uses a combination of DMC and WDW threads. This has been a fun stitch.
Next is my It's 5o'clock Somewhere! I am using the WDW Linen, 20 count. The color name escapes me at the moment...LOL This one is for my boss.
The next one is Grandma's Wildflowers. This is a much older kit I had bought when first getting into cross stitch. It was put out by Imaginating and Diane Arthur is the designer. It is worked on Fiddler's Lite with DMC and has buttons to put in the center of some of the flowers. You can add your grandchildren's names at the bottom.
The last work in progress for now is my Prairie Schooler Autumn Sampler. The other three seasons are finished and should be on this blog. I hope to have it done shortly, then will frame all four. I have a unique way to frame them in mind.
Well, that is about all for now folks! I will be stitching more and updating more projects! Thanks for looking at my blog.
Hugs,
Sue, Kia and Peanut!
