Jar Lid Cover Finish

A couple of years ago, I gave a friend of mine a pint size Mason Jar for her threads/orts......I was visiting her and had planned to do the lid cover while there; well it never happened! LOL....sooo, yesterday, I came across the covers while searching for something else, grabbed it up and just stitched it! I will be sending this to her very soon, along with a couple of other goodies.

Snowstorm of 2010

This is the first snowstorm that we have had in Newport News, VA in several years; we are surrounded on three sides by water, making us known as 'the Peninsula' of the Hampton Roads area. We ended up with between 8-10 inches of snow and I am loving it! Being a "Baltimoran", as we are known in Baltimore, MD. Of course that is where I was born and raised with lots of snow! I miss it here in the south, so this was a real treat for me. I had to post my couple of photos....lol

Latest Work in Progress

Today, I worked on my Prairie Schooler Spring Sampler. The leaflet is called Country Seasons, and it is leaflet number 123 if anyone is interested.

I am enjoying doing this smaller piece in between my three or four larger projects. I will be placing updates on my blog shortly.

I sure wish I knew how to be more creative with this blog and make it look great! Oh well, one day, I will learn through trial and error.
