Tuesday Morning

Yesterday was a 'not so good' day for me so I have waited until today to post.

My BFF Laura loved her Amish piece and the necklace I made for her also.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the jewelry, so I will have to do that another time.

I plan to take a nice photo later today and post of all the lovely gifts that the gals from my group, ESC, sent.  All the cards and floss were magnificent!  In the meantime this is a map by Virginia Creekman of Tidewater Originals that I stitched back in 1984; one for DH and one for a friend.  This was a joy to stitch!

I will be back a bit later to upload the photos!

Birthday Gift from Kathy B. in Ohio

This is a gorgeous birthday gift that I have received from my friend Kathy B., in ESC.  Kathy makes gorgeous ceramics and what an awesome surprise when I opened this yesterday!!!! LOL....My birthday is not until Friday, but I just HAD to see what was in this box.  Take a peek and see for yourself!

Amish Finish

Today is Monday, August 23rd and I have finished my Amish Friendship piece for my BFF for her birthday.  I am going to have it framed for her at Joann's in Baltimore where she lives.  

I will see her this weekend for a crab feast; being a native of Baltimore or a 'Baltimoron'....LOL....I can't wait to 'go home'.  I was to leave tomorrow and stay until next week, but a death in our family put those plans to rest, and that is okay.  This will be a quick trip up Saturday morning and home Sunday early, as we have a memorial service to attend.

Friday is my birthday and Butch is taking me to Towne Center here in Newport News to see a concert at the fountain in the middle of the mini-city.......we will be hearing Chasing Arrows, which is my grandson's drum instructor's band!  Joe has really taken Nick under his wing.  He will also be attending with mom and family. The second photo is Nick, our nine year old grandson with his private instructor, Joe Hamm.  Check out Chasing Arrows on the web; this is Joe's band!  Enjoy!

 

Gift from Mylene

A good Wednesday morning to everyone; I just wanted to share a picture of a beautiful birthday gift and RAK that one of my fellow stitchers sent.  Mylene did a gorgeous job on the scissor fob and the stand up piece!

 Mylene also included a lovely birthday card, a bookmark and postcard from her homeland of The Netherlands!

Another Work in Progress

Here is another work in progress on my Amish piece; you will notice the 'R' has not been stitched on the last word.............LOL............I must have been side-tracked! LOL......the next photo will be the finished piece.  Enjoy!
